Yes, that’s right: it has been 130 years since Herzog Hospital’s establishment in December 1894!

And we are celebrating this milestone — all year long!

Some featured events which have taken place in Jerusalem:

  • The municipality of Jerusalem projected a birthday wish with Herzog’s logo in lights over the famous bridge at the city’s entrance;
  • A major concert was held at the Jerusalem Theatre to a sold-out audience, featuring a special message from the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog. He is the grandson of Rabbanit Sarah Herzog, for whom the hospital is named;
  • Jerusalem Mayor, Moshe Lion, thanked the staff of Herzog for taking care of the elderly and mentally ill of all of Jerusalem for the past 130 years — and through every war since the establishment of the State of Israel.

And much more is planned in Israel and internationally throughout the year!

We invite you to join us at the celebration!

  • To continue to expand beyond our current 600 beds;

  • To continue to enlarge the wide-ranging mental health services and physical rehabilitation of thousands of soldiers, evacuees, and survivors of  October 7th, along with their families;

  • To expand the well-known and heavily in-demand services of our already large physical rehabilitation department for the elderly;

  • Finally, to continue to provide our comprehensive services for future generations.

In honour of our 130th Anniversary, we’ve launched a $130,000 international campaign – but we need your help to reach our goal!

Click here to donate $130, $260, $1,300 or any amount. We hope to raise at least this amount in as short a period as possible.

We thank you most sincerely for your support of Herzog over the years, and we hope you will give us a special gift in honour of our special anniversary!
