MENTAL HEALTH
Herzog Hospital’s Psychiatric Division cares for patients of all ages who are suffering from psychiatric disorders including but not limited to schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder and chronic depression. It maintains separate departments for men and women. To date, our doctors and staff have achieved remarkable success in rehabilitating patients and returning them to their homes and communities. The division comprises three departments and a large community clinic. Herzog psychiatrists are working on new and innovative medication, early diagnosis and prevention.
The Community Mental Health Center responds to the needs of children and adolescents with psychological disorders by bringing treatment to their communities. The Community Mental Health Center treats over 2,000 people – of all ages – each month and has developed expertise in working with the members of the Ultra-Orthodox community. It maintains an extensive outreach program to schools, clinics, and sheltered workplaces.
