The President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, recently hosted at his residence the leadership of Herzog Hospital. Dr. Yehezkel Caine, Herzog Hospital President, and Dr. Jacob Haviv, the Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, were invited by President Herzog to acknowledge the Herzog family’s long-standing relationship with the hospital.
The Hospital is named after President Herzog’s grandmother Rabbanit Sarah Herzog, who served as President of the Hospital from 1943 to 1979. After her passing, the hospital, which was established in 1894 under the name “Ezrath Nashim”, was renamed the Rabbanit Sarah Herzog Hospital.
We are honoured by this relationship with the Herzog family, which dates back from Rabbanit Sarah Herzog to her son Chaim Herzog, Israel’s sixth president, and now to her grandson, Israel’s current President Isaac Herzog.
