Dear Friend of Herzog Hospital,

For 130 years, since its establishment in 1894, HERZOG HOSPITAL has provided essential health care for all Israelis through every war Israel has faced. Now, once again, Herzog has demonstrated its historic strength with the current Iron Swords war which broke out last October 7th.

This year, trauma and anxiety are impacting all levels and sectors of society. Herzog Hospital’s dedicated staff has been working around the clock to provide a secure environment for offer treatment.

Some of Herzog’s initiatives include:

  • Expanding its mental health and psychotrauma services to treat people emotionally affected by the war. Herzog’s Community Mental Health Center and Metiv Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma and staff have been working with survivors, soldiers and their families, to help them cope.

  • Israel’s Ministry of Defense has selected Herzog Hospital as the official center for soldiers  and security personnel who have been classifed as suffering from mental health/PTSD challenges.

  • Herzog’s Mental Health Clinic for at-Risk Young Adults, established 3 years ago to  help young people with mental health challenges, has now expanded exponentially. This includes helping survivors of October 7th who have friends who were either kidnapped or murdered, as well as have friends that are now serving in the IDF.

  • With the ability to withstand missile and chemical attack, Herzog’s Sheltered Underground Emergency Hospital is admitting patients from the south and north. With a current capacity of 240 beds in that wing, the hospital—at the request of the Ministries of Health and Defense—has now added another 100 beds.

All the above examples are in addition to Herzog Hospital’s highly respected work in the fields of mental health, PTSD, physical rehabilitation, children’s and adults chronic respiratory care and all aspects of geriatric diagnosis and medical care.

“In honour of our 130th Anniversary, we very much hope you will partner with us by making a minimum donation of $130 (or multiples thereof) to enable Herzog to support and strengthen Israel.”

Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Rosh Hashanah!
